Retiring Kittery school boss lands new job

hutton1KITTERY, Maine — After retiring from her full-time duties as the superintendent of Kittery schools, Allyn Hutton will be heading to New Hampshire for an encore in public education.

On April 14, Hutton signed a two-year contract to become the new superintendent of SAU 83, serving as administrator for Ellis School in Fremont, where the school covers pre-school through eighth grade. The contract goes into effect on July 1 and will pay Hutton $78,000 in the first year and $80,000 in the second for working up to 80 percent of the typical school work week.
