Kittery residents hear options for Rice Library

IMG_0752KITTERY, Maine – Kittery residents had their first opportunity to discuss the possible incarnations of the library project and ask questions of the town’s assembled working group on Saturday.

Dozens of residents filtered in and out of Traip Academy gym Saturday morning and circulated to different stations staffed by a member of the library working group, each outlining one of four options for the Rice Library project.

The Rice Library Working Group is made up of Rachel Dennis and David Harris; president and vice president of the library board of directors respectively; Steve Workman, Kittery Community Center Chairman; Town Councilors Judy Spiller and Jeff Pelletier; Kittery residents D. Allan Kerr and Russell White; Rice Library Director Lee Perkins, Kittery Community Center Director Janice Grady and Town Manager Kendra Amaral.
