KITTERY, Maine – The Kittery Town Council at its Monday meeting presented a letter of censure against Planning Board Chairwoman Ann Grinnell, following constituent complaints levied against her.

The Town Council adopted the letter of censure by a vote of 5-1, with Councilor Jeffrey Pelletier voting against adoption. According to Town Council Chairman Gary Beers, the letter “expresses a strong opinion of disapproval,” but does not affect Grinnell serving on the Planning Board and will not result in further legal action.
