Kittery School Principal recovering after mountain rescue

mountainKITTERY, Maine — For one school principal, back to school did not go as planned.

Instead of welcoming students and families to Shapleigh School, Principal Anne Ellis is recovering at home from multiple fractures to her left leg that she broke last Saturday while hiking. She expects to be out for another two weeks per doctor’s orders, who advised her to take it easy, keep her leg elevated and relax.
