KITTERY, Maine — A report of a man on a bicycle waving a gun in a threatening manner led to an hour-long lockdown at the Kittery Community Center Wednesday afternoon.

Kittery Police Chief James Soucy said multiple witnesses saw a white male waving a gun in the area of Cole Street in Kittery around 3 p.m. As a precaution, police notified the school district and the KCC about a potential threat, Soucy said.
