Library to present new building design to Kittery board
KITTERY, Maine — The second joint meeting of the board of trustees of the Kittery Community Center and the Rice Public Library will take place Wednesday to further discuss the idea of locating a new library on the campus.
The architect who has drawn plans for library, Michael Lassel of Lassel Architects of South Berwick, will present the drawings to the KCC board, said Rice Public Library Director Lee Perkins. Lassel’s firm has designed numerous area buildings, such as the Horace Mitchell Primary School and the Shapleigh School, both in Kittery.
“We’ll give the preliminary plans on how we think this could work,” Perkins said.
