KITTERY, Maine — State Police said two people were seriously injured when the truck they were in overturned Thursday morning on the Maine Turnpike in Kittery.

The crash took place on the northbound exit 3 ramp of the Maine Turnpike, police said. Both people were thrown from the truck and taken to a local hospital, police said.

The exit ramp was expected to remain closed for several hours, police said. Traffic on the turnpike was still moving near the crash site.
