KITTERY, Maine — A Traip Academy football player is using his skills away from the field to help benefit the program as a whole, raffling off lobsters for the Friends of Traip Football.
James Lawrence, a junior offensive and defensive lineman on the Traip football team, is raffling off three sets of 12 lobsters that he plans to catch, with all the money raised going to the football’s booster fund, to help pay for equipment, trophies and a banquet.
Each ticket is $10 and offers a chance to get 12 lobsters, with three drawings total. There is no limit on the amount of tickets one can buy.
The drawing will be held at Saturday’s home football game against Dirigo High School. The game begins at 1:30 p.m. and the drawings will occur at halftime.
Tickets can be purchased at Circle Subs near the Kittery traffic circle or in the first half of Saturday’s game.
