KITTERY, Maine – A planned workshop between the Town Council and Kittery Port Authority was postponed for the second time, so the port authority can work through personnel issues.

The Town Council, KPA and town manager received an email from Council Chairman Jeffrey Thomson saying the workshop, scheduled for Oct. 14 prior to the council meeting, is postponed until an undetermined November date. The email said Thomson had met with KPA interim chairman Peter Whitman and that the authority needs to work out its current personnel issues before conducting a workshop with the Town Council.

“It wouldn’t be appropriate to assert the Town Council into it at this time,” the email read, according to Town Manager Nancy Colbert Puff.
