At 5:30 open to the public.
Wood Island Life Saving Station Association at Town Council Monday at 5:30.
The Kittery Town Council will host a workshop this Monday, the 13th, at 5:30 to hear from the Wood Island Life Saving Station Association (WILSSA) and the committee that reports to Town Council, The Wood Island Advisory Committee (WIAC). The public is welcomed to attend. It will also be carried live on the Town’s web page and Community TV.
During the Kittery Block Party on June 20 WILSSA asked Kittery residents if they preferred a fully restored life saving station, open to the public, at no cost to Kittery (WILSSA’s position) or an exterior only restoration, closed to the public, where Kittery would pay for the maintenance costs (WIAC’s position). 100% of those that responded, 150 people, agreed with WILSSA’s position. Comparing those positions will be Council’s topic of discussion during Monday’s workshop.
