On Thursday, September 25, at 6 p.m., Dianne Fallon, author of “Pioneer on a Mountain Bike: Eight Days Through Early American History,” will present a slideshow/reading at the Rice Public Library.

Ms. Fallon’s book includes a lengthy chapter dealing with Seacoast history, including the rise and fall of the Pepperrell family; the 1735 diphtheria epidemic; and why business always came before religion in early New Hampshire. Sponsored the Friends of the Rice Library.
 
Ms. Fallon will present a similar talk at the launch party for book on Sunday, September 28, at 4 p.m. at Riverrun Books, Wallingford Square, Kittery.
