KITTERY, Maine – Members of the board of directors of the Kittery Land Trust were on hand to discuss the status of their efforts to conserve land in the area in and around the Brave Boat Harbor Headwaters at Monday’s workshop with Town Council.

KLT Executive Director Christine Bennett said the ultimate goal is to create a “linkage” of conserved land, which extends north from the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refugee to the Norton Preserve, owned by the KLT, with the Brave Boat Headwater area in between. The KLT owns about 113 acres in the Brave Boat Headwater area, according to Bennett.
