b. (040117-1) The Kittery Town Council moves to approve the disbursement warrants.
c. (040117-2) The Kittery Town Council moves to receive a presentation from the Superintendent of Schools on the FY’18 School Budget.
d. (040117-3) The Kittery Town Council moves to give preliminary approval on the FY ’18 School Budget and schedule a public hearing on May 8th to adopt the FY ’18 School Budget and to schedule the Budget Validation Referendum for June 13th.
e. (040117-4) The Kittery Town Council moves to approve a renewal application from Sonmat, Inc., 7 Wallingford Square, Kittery for a Malt, Vinous and Spirituous Liquor License for Anju Noodle Bar, 7 Wallingford Square.
f. (040117-5) The Kittery Town Council moves to approve a one day extension of the service area of the premises externally on the current liquor license for The Black Birch, 2 Government Street, from 9:00am – 10:00pm for the Kittery Block Party on June 17, 2017.
g. (040117-6) The Kittery Town Council moves to authorize the Kittery Point Fire Association to post road signs at the traffic circle (on median at Rt. 236 exit), the end of Haley Road on Rt. 1 and the corner of Bridge Street and Rt. 1 Bypass, and to hang a banner across Rogers Road from April 15th through April 22nd to advertise their Ham & Bean Supper on April 22nd.
h. (040317-7) The Kittery Town Council moves to authorize the Kittery Fire Station Association to post road signs at locations in the community to advertise the Annual Pancake Breakfast and 5K Road Race on Saturday, May 20th and Sunday May 21, 2017, and to hang a banner across Rogers Road advertising the 5K Road Race and a banner on York Hospital’s outside wall on the corner of Walker Street and Route 1 to advertise both events from May 1st through May 21st.
i. (040117-8) The Kittery Town Council moves to authorize the Kittery Schools Odyssey of the Mind students to hold a tag day at the Resource Recovery Facility on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. to support the Odyssey of the Mind.
j. (040117-9) The Kittery Town Council moves to approve a request from Kittery/Eliot VFW Memorial Post 9394 to hold the Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies on Saturday, May 27th beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Walker Street.
k. (040117-10) The Kittery Town Council moves to authorize the Rice Public Library to use the Fort Foster facility (baseball field) on Tuesday, August 25, 2017 and to extend their hours until 8:00 p.m. to show an outdoor movie for the closing celebration of their Summer Reading Program.
l. (040117-11) The Kittery Town Council moves to appoint Joyce Tobey as Warden and Sandra Lutts as Deputy Warden and the opening of the polls at 8:00 a.m. and the closing at 8:00 p.m. for the June 13, 2017 State Referendum, Town Meeting, and School Budget Validation Referendum Elections as recommended by the Town Clerk.
m. (040117-12) The Kittery Town Council moves to review and finalize wording on the Warrant Articles for the June 13, 2017 Town Meeting/Secret Ballot Election and make its recommendations on each article.
n. (040117-13) The Kittery Town Council moves to give reasonable consideration to the Stephen A. Hynes Real Property Trust Agreement Conservation Easement Cession offer and Management Plan for approximately 36.5 acres on Tax Map 66 Lots 24 and 25, if returned with a favorable recommendation after review by the Town Manager and Town Attorney; and, MDEP acceptance of same.
o. (040117-14) The Kittery Town Council moves to reaffirm the Town of Kittery’s opposition to a casino in Kittery, as stated in Sec. 1.04 of the Kittery Town Charter and asks the Town Manager to work with comparable officials in surrounding communities to develop a strategy in opposition to the November statewide ballot referendum question on locating a casino in York County.
p. (040117-15) The Kittery Town Council moves to appoint a representative to meet with the Chair of the Education Scholarship Committee to interview Herbert Kingsbury for his re-appointment to that board until 12/31/20.
q. (040117-16) The Kittery Town Council moves to appoint a representative to meet with the Chair of the Conservation Commission to interview Herbert Kingsbury for his re-appointment to that board until 12/31/20.
r. (040117-17) The Kittery Town Council moves to appoint a representative to meet with the Chair of the Parks Commission to interview Page Mead for his re-appointment to that board until 12/31/20.
s. (040117-18) The Kittery Town Council moves to authorize the release of funds in the amount of $1,000 from unassigned funds (unencumbered surplus) as approved by the voters at the June 14, 2016 Town Meeting, and to deposit said funds into account #101740-68427 Expense Self-Insurance Claims, to cover the cost of the deductible for an insurance claim.
t. (040117-19) The Kittery Town Council moves to discuss the annual Town Council and Town Manager goals.
