Traip principal promoted to superintendent

EricKITTERY, Maine – After a four-month search, the Kittery School Committee ultimately decided to stay in-house and promote Traip Academy Principal Eric Waddell to fill the vacant superintendent position following Allyn Hutton’s retirement at the end of the school year.

“It has been an extremely thorough process,” said School Committee Chairperson David Batchelder. “All the finalists that we interviewed; worked over the past couple weeks with, expressed it was probably one of the hardest interview and vetting processes they’ve ever been through, and greatly appreciated how in-depth we went into researching their backgrounds.”
