KITTERY, Maine — The town is a step closer to having a new full-time, permanent town manager.
The Kittery Town Council on Tuesday “identified a candidate to extend an offer to,” said council Chairman Gary Beers after the council’s executive session. The council interviewed two candidates on Tuesday; neither one was named. “The offer and related negotiations are not expected to take that long,” he said, hoping the council would be able to take formal action by late next week.
