Traip senior unveils mural at KCC

KITTERY, Maine — A senior at R.W. Traip Academy produced a new mural for the Kittery Community Center for her capstone project.

Seniors at Kittery’s high school have been presenting their independent research projects throughout this week as the school year nears its end.

Piper Smith, was one of the presenters, where she outlined her triumphs and challenges in creating a floor to ceiling mural inside the KCC’s front entrance. The mural depicts Kittery and Kittery Point from the Memorial Bridge to Fort Foster, with a focus on the town’s maritime history.
