KITTERY, Maine — The Town Council will hold a special meeting Monday night to select a firm that will help select a permanent town manager.
The start time is 6 p.m., an hour earlier than regularly scheduled meetings. Two companies will give presentations, and a third has sent a proposal about what services it can offer in the helping the town find the right candidate.
Eaton & Peabody, Municipal Resources Inc. and Maine Municipal Association are the three firms vying for the contract. The council utilized MRI in the previous candidate selection that produced Nancy Colbert Puff in 2013.
Colbert Puff left Kittery to become the deputy city manager in Portsmouth.
Immediate following the presentations, the board is expected to select a firm. At the conclusion of the meeting, the council will begin a workshop with the interim town manager, town planner and Planning Board to discuss Title 16 Code Amendments that deal with land use.
