KITTERY, Maine — If you see or hear security forces working with a sense of urgency at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard on Wednesday, it’s likely to be a part of a scheduled drill.
A release from the shipyard’s Public Affairs Office said that Gate 2 on Whipple Road will be closed at some point on Feb. 3 for less than 15 minutes. Gate 1 at Walker Street remains closed during the day for ongoing bridge construction. The exact time of the closure is not known, but it will be during non-peak traffic hours, said Public Affairs Officer Danna Eddy.
