AUGUSTA, Maine — Three southern York County legislators were among nine sponsors of a House order to begin impeachment proceedings against Gov. Paul LePage. The measure failed Thursday on a floor vote of 96-52.

State Reps. Deane Rykerson, D-Kittery, Roberta “Bobbi” Beavers, D-Eliot/South Berwick and Lydia Blume, D-York, said they were pleased the House thoroughly debated the issue for over three hours on Thursday.
