KITTERY, Maine – The Rice Public Library received a donation from a young contingency of readers at the Horace Mitchell Primary School.

The third graders of Kate Lantz’s class donated $65 dollars to the Rice Public Library, along with cards from the students.

“Ms. Lantz’s class loves your library. You have loads of great books!,” one letter from the class said. “We’ve all learned a lot from reading those books of yours, and we really enjoy them!”

The cards had a holiday feel to them, with a picture of Christmas trees, mistletoe and candy canes.
