KITTERY, Maine — The Kittery Port Authority extended the nearly yearlong moratorium on new moorings in town waters for another month.
The moratorium was put in place by the KPA in February and scheduled to sunset at the end of December. The moratorium was to give Kittery’s then new harbormaster time to map out the moorings in the waters and harbors in Kittery and for the PDA to come up with a revised policy. There are about 550 moorings in town waters.
