Two arrested in chase after Fort Foster gate robbed

KITTERY, Maine — A New Hampshire man and a woman were arrested Sunday night and face felony charges after allegedly robbing the gate at Fort Foster and leading police on a brief pursuit on Route 103.

Elizabeth Hogan, 25, of Milford, N.H. and Anthony Zukatis, 25, of Nashua, N.H., were arrested Sunday night shortly before 7 p.m. after allegedly robbing the gate at Fort Foster, according to Kittery Police Chief Theodor Short.

“We were called to a robbery at Fort Foster and received a description of a vehicle,” Short said. “We observed a vehicle matching the description on Route 103. There was a short pursuit and both were taken into custody.”

Short said the two asked the gate attendee for the money collected for admission into the park. No weapon was brandished, Short said, but a threat was implied. Short would not disclose how much money was taken.
