KITTERY, Maine — The town manager presented the proposed municipal budget, which included a 2.1 percent increase from the previous year’s budget.
The proposed increase was 1.4 percent before a 53rd pay week was realized, resulting in an additional $81,000 to be added.
The proposed budget would account for roughly a 25 cent increase in the property tax rate, according to Town Manager Nancy Colbert Puff. The proposed increase would account for roughly $80 in property taxes for an average single-family property owner, Colbert Puff said.
