KITTERY, Maine — The Town Council and Planning Board met for an extended workshop Monday night, discussing amendments to the Land Use and Development portion of the Town Code.

“There are many changes advisable to Title 16 and we recognize that it needs to continue to be worked on,” said Nancy Colbert Puff, the town manager. “Let’s make the choice to fix these things right now, knowing that this will continue to change over time to respond to the changes of Kittery.”

Most of the discussion focused on updating and clarifying the language of the chapter in the town code, and was mostly civil, except for discussion surrounding a memorandum submitted anonymously, but Councilor Charles Denault later admitted that he wrote it, criticizing the Planning Board.
