NH_Portsmouth_HeraldThe 12th annual Art on the Hill open studios will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 29 and 30, in the Wentworth Dennett Schoolhouse building in Kittery, Maine.Look for the giant chair scultpure just over the Memorial Bridge, at the corner of Government Street and the west side of Route 1. Three floors of oil painters, water colorists, jewelers and potters will greet the public in their studios and display their work, and guest artists and artisans will also show handmade children’s clothing, toys, handbags, T-shirts and more. Throughout Saturday, well-known oil painter Lisa Noonis will offer painting demonstrations, and at various times during the weekend talented jewelry artist Melinda Salazar will demonstrate elements of her process – all much in keeping with the building’s first life as a school.
