Check out new Sarah Long Bridge design at open house
NH_Portsmouth_Herald KITTERY, Maine — The Maine and New Hampshire departments of transportation will hold an open house Sept. 18 to showcase the final design of the new Sarah Mildred Long Bridge.
The public is encouraged to explore the open house’s multi-media exhibits, which will include 3D animations, slideshows and a model to help people understand how aspects of the new bridge will promote mobility, avoid congestion, enable growth and support a thriving port. DOT representatives and the design team of FIGG I Hardesty & Hanover Joint Venture, will be available to answer questions and talk about additional details including the design, alignment and the schedule. A portion of the exhibit will detail the public process and explain the process by which members of the public selected aspects of the new bridge.
The open house is from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Kittery Community Center at Frisbee Common, 120 Rogers Road. For more information on the project, visit www.maine.gov/mdot/sml/.
