Just an informational piece. Here is some pictures of the Kittery Community Center, Star Theaters production set for the upcoming play, Little Shop of Horrors. A lot of work and it’s in your Town.
One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time and subsequent Broadway success, this affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies has become a household name, thanks to a highly successful film version and a score by the songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, The music, in the style of early 1960s rock and roll, doo-wop and early Motown, includes several well-known tunes, including the title song, “Skid Row (Downtown)”, “Somewhere That’s Green”, and “Suddenly, Seymour”.
Little Shop of Horrors is a comedy rock musical about Seymour, a down-and out nerdish skid row floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood.
